新田 源太郎 Gentaro Nitta

Taking more than one year, this Kimono was woven with about 200 colors of yarn in snowy Yonezawa, known as a major production center of textiles since the Edo period. It depicts the beauty and radiance of lives of animals. Hand weaving and patchwork techniques are adopted to incorporate the color of the national flag into the work.
